The NBA star Kyrie Irving apologized to all the science teachers for being tempted to believe in conspiracy theories saying Earth is flat.
Indeed, back in 2017 during an interview with the New York Times, he expressed some doubts about the Earth being "constitutionnally round" but definitely seemed open for a discussion on this topic. But today, things have apparently changed, and Kyrie clarified his new stance: he regreted his words and "didn't realize how much it could influence people".
Let's simply remind that the Flat Earth Society, founded in 1956, is quite popular debate forum on the actual shape of the Earth, and counts over 65 000 followers on Twitter.
