Free rides for singing people in Finland

The clean-energy company Fortum chose a quite surprising way to promote its electric cars during the Ruisrock festival in Turku, Finland. It proposed a shuttle service that accepts only singing as a form of payment. The passengers get in the taxi, choose a playlist and have to perform various songs to entertain the driver.

The driver doesn't charge you anything for the ride, except if you stop your vocal exercise. In that case, he stops the car and your trip is over. So no matter if you're a talented singer, or if you only practise in the shower, you will benefit from this innovative service all the way long.
The purpose of this project was, according to Fortum, to show customers that alternative energies are viable, and there is no background noise emitted by a car's motor that could interfere with your enjoyable singing.
