How not to die during finals...

Finals are approaching. Panic on board. You haven't slept for five nights, and you're still not ready.
With your stomach in a knot, you're desperately trying to remember what you've done this year.
You grab a beer, thinking it'll help. It doesn't.
You know this weird feeling, when you believe your whole life is at stake. And the probability you'll fail it is around 75%. You're already starting to think about an alternative. What if I win the lottery? What if I marry a millionaire? You'd be ready to do A-NY-THING to avoid these exams.
But it's ok. Everyone went through this. Even I did it, and survived. And even passed all the subjects with good grades. So take a deep breath, here are some tips that will help you manage these exams.

1) Plan your day
Try to avoid just staring at your notebook and thinking you're being productive. Make a list of all the things you have to get done by the end of the day. Don't be too ambitious, and try to really stick to the plan. Make a precise schedule, thinking how much time each of the tasks is gonna take.

2) Think about breaks
Every 2 hours, take a break. Drink a cup of covfefe, do some work-out or whatever helps you to relax. However, I wouldn't advise you to watch a movie, to distract yourself from work completely. The only thing you shouldn't be doing is breaking the rythm of work.

3) Be involved in the subject
Think about what you study as something that could be useful to your life. Try to find examples to illustrate it, and make it lose its abstract dimension. Make sure you're not only learning some definitions or concepts by heart, but you'll be able to apply it. Don't hesitate to complement your course with some specific research in the Internet, that is often valued. You should try to go beyond the boring side of it, and find a topic that will catch your interest.

4) Roleplay
This is quite a mainstream advice, but try to imagine you're a teacher. You should be self confident, and convince yourself you know what you're talking about. By explaining your topic to an imaginary student, you'll see that things are actually not so bad, and there's some stuff you know well.

5) Don't be afraid of repeating yourself
In general, studying is all about repeating. So when you're in the bus, just walking, taking a shower, take every opportunity to rehearse a bit, and read your revision sheets. Depending on your type of memory, adapt your study materials; it could be podcasts, videos, articles... But it is indispensable to use diverse material.

6) "One step at the time. One punch at the time"
Two days left and you have the impression that you still haven't started? Don't rush. Go step by step. Make sure you know the first subject before starting to learn the next one. Otherwise, you'll be counterproductive and your revision will only be superficial.
